Paving the Way for Smart Solar Power in Europe: Joint Session of ERA-Net SES and SOLAR ERA.Net

A side-event on the Intersolar fair took place on Thursday, May 16 2019 in Munich. The event was co-organized by SOLAR-ERA.NET and ERA-Net Smart Energy Systems. The research and development community, industry representatives, investors and funding partners met and worked together on transnational level to create added value on the topic of Smart Solar Power in Europe. Both networks bring together R&D and innovation programmes across Europe and have so far supported some 100 transnational projects involving about 500 organisations in Europe. The event featured a variety of interesting presentations and workshops on accelerating the transition to a smart and sustainable energy system with smart solar power in Europe. Opportunities for transnational cooperation with complementary skills, equipment and facilities along the value chain from research to industry have been discussed for increasing the outreach to markets in Europe and beyond.
