DyNaLab (Dynamic Nacelle Testing Laboratory)

DESCRIPTION

The Fraunhofer IWES offers with the Dynamic Nacelle Testing Laboratory (DyNalab), a full scale technological test stand for complete nacelles and its subsystems in the power output range from 2 to 8 MW. The DyNalab provides a realistic testing environment in the multi-megawatt field for all manufacturers of wind energy turbines through facilitating informative la­boratory testing in the evaluation and opti­mization of established and future turbine concepts. Field trials can be simulated under realistic conditions in the laboratory.

Validation, measurement, system simulation, wind energy, drivetrain, electrical certification.

WHAT CAN BE TESTED

Nacelles and drivetrains of wind turbines as well as its subsystems with a focus on the electrical side and grid integration.

AVAILABLE INFRASTRUCTURE

Nacelle test bench, modular sub component test bench, electrical system test bench.
